Justice Seekers Lenten Devotional

Lean into understanding our history this Lent

In 2018 and 2019, Black Heritage Trails partnered with the Episcopal Church of New Hampshire to create a collective Lenten program. The Justice Seekers at St. John’s hope that these reflections help us to use Lent as a time to broaden our knowledge, to pray in a way that helps us repent (turn from) and to appreciate the contributions of those named. These are only some of the stories that can be told. Justice Seekers are also encouraging the congregational study of the book Color of Law by Richard Rothstein to learn more about the ways that segregation occurred through government policies. May we be in community to strive for justice, seek mercy and walk humbly with our God.
